Following the launch of our fully-animated flash website (on May 6th, 2008) we submitted the design to a selection of web design award sites and received over 55 site-of-the-day and design recognition awards.
Our most important award was to be listed in the Design Charts. Design Charts is a weekly top 40 of top websites. The charts are created by tracking the traffic from their network of 10 widely recognised top websites that award website design. It is a defacto standard for gauging which websites are truly a cut above the rest – as such it is quite hard to be listed on. We came 9th out of the 40 for the week ending June 1st 2008.
Closely followed by a Site of the Month award (for November) at Foliostars. Foliostars is a CSS and Flash gallery showcasing the best portfolios from around the world. Their selection is focused on design quality and W3C standards compliance and the monthly winner is selected via an online voting system by the worldwide general public.
On the Web Design Developer showcase website it was featured in their '50 amazing flash website design' list, sitting alongside some major global names such as: 2 Advanced Studios, Quicksilver, Coca Cola Zero, Nike Lab, Louis Vuitton, Red Interactive Agency.
In 2011 it was published in the Web Design Index 10 book – available on Amazon and other good book shops.
